Thank you all for welcoming home our Florida National Guard unit, yesterday. Among these soldiers was my son who was surprised and pleased to be greeted so graciously. What you are doing will be remembered by these servicemen and women. God Bless the U.S.A. and all of you who are involved in this project.

I just participated in the Pease Greeters, it was (1) f the best things that I have done all year! Truly amazing!
I was so pleased to be invited to attend by my friends, Susan Tinnen. Susan, told me it would be fun and interesting, it was truly amazing!
I am so glad that I participated and will come back again for another greeting, very soon!
Thank you all so much, for the great experience.

I came through on May 8/9 and I almost cried a half dozen times. I have been deployed before and went through civilian airports and have NEVER received the type of motivation and love that I did at Pease. I loved that each one of the members that I came into contact with showed admiration for US deploying, when in reality it should be the other way around, admiration for them. Thank you for showing that there are REAL AMERICANS out there that still support the military.

Thank you so much for being there for our troops when they come home. My brother was one of the Airmen that passed through yesterday (4/24/16) on his way home from his deployment. He expressed so much gratitude for the welcome, the food and everything else you have done for them. It also means so much to me and my family to have the greeters welcome them all back to the US. As he is based on the other side of the country, we won't see him until later in the year, but it is so nice to have him back stateside. Keep up all you do you touch the hearts of the military members as well as all of their family members.

Pease Greeters and volunteers, I recently sent this to the Portsmouth Herald as a Letter to the Editor. I hope they publish it so readers can see the great things Portsmouth is doing:
American Still Exists in Portsmouth
Upon completing a tour of duty in Afghanistan, I recently returned to the United States on board a flight full of military members, Department of Defense civilians, and defense contractors. Our flight stopped to refuel in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Pease Airport, before continuing on. It was eleven below zero outside that morning but inside the airport there was no shortage of warmth. We disembarked to wait in the airport during the refueling and were greeted by a diverse group of volunteer Portsmouthians who showered us with hospitality, refreshments, and comments of appreciation for our service. I admit I was overwhelmed with emotion. As a Navy retiree after 20 years, and a contractor for the past five, I have never personally seen such a show of support from such a large and anonymous group. Football teams, pop stars, all have their screaming fans and Portsmouth showed us what a fan base the military has.
I was struck by the thought of a recent news reporter who mocked people on the street after the recent primary for not being able to point out New Hampshire on a map. I can tell you there are certain groups of airplane passengers who will have no trouble pointing out the great state. We were the 932nd returning military flight the Portsmouthians turned out to ceremoniously welcome home. We do our job for this country and for the people, and you do the same for us. American still exists in Portsmouth.

I just got off the phone with my Husband this Valentines Day, and was so overjoyed to hear his voice, and how happy he sounded after landing in NH. He was completely overwhelmed by The Pease Greeters' sincere warm welcome and could not put it into words how much it meant to him. What a joy it is for these soldiers who have been away from this great country so long, to touch down into such a thoughtful, caring, and appreciative environment. You have now greeted 2 sons, 3 nephews, and my husband. Thank you, and God Bless you all.

I want to thank pease greeters for the warm welcome with signs, food and phone calls home today for my son and his shipmates that are coming home from their recent deployment! He said that it put smiles on all of their faces to be greeted stateside! I know I'm one happy mama having received a phone call today from him after only getting hit or miss emails and him being deployed over the holidays! Thank you so much!

Our son is in the US Army on his first deployment. He sent a text with the Peasegreeters business card. He said we should email you and request a copy of the flight pictures. He is en route from Ft. Sill, OK to the United Arab Emerites. Thank you, Pease Greeters for your support, and acknowledgement of our troops.
