Flight 11/7/14 , our son called stating he was going to be at Pease before he headed to his deployment destination, we were so overwelmed with great joy we hurried down to Portsmouth NH to see him. Not knowing what to expect, we had people waiting for us to let us know to hurry as the ceremony for the troops was about to start. That night was the one of the greatest nights and PeaseGreeters, we are so thankful for you and all that you do. The best part of the presentation is when they called my husband out on the floor to greet our son for the first time in almost a year. Steve was so excited to see his son, it was a blessed event for all of us to see. Thank you Pease Greeters and May you be Blessed always for your hard work and dedication. God Speed for you!! Sincerely The Hoffners.

Yesterday was my son's birthday and the only way I could wish him a happy birthday was a text and a phone call. I was brought to tears when he described the greeting he received from you. He was honored and touched by your heartfelt generosity and I am thankful you made him feel special as he left on his first deployment. In a time when there is so much focus on what is negative in the world, people like you remind us of what is important and good in the world. Thank you and bless you for all you do for our troops. We will never forget it.

I want to thank you all so very much for all you do. About an hour ago I received a final text from my son before he got on the plane for his first deployment. He told me about these wonderful people that greeted him and his unit and wanted me to know that they (you all) were there to see him off for me. I feel very blessed that you all were there to support my son and his unit and it meant the world to him. I want you to know how much you are appreciated and how important what you do is. Thank you Pease Greeters.
From a very proud Air Force mom.

My boys have both served, and I can only hope that you were there to greet them when they shipped out and returned! I think what you do is amazing and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
I wish more of your appreciation was shared in our country. I fly my flags every day in appreciation. Thank you all!

I have just found this website. Me and my unit came theough here in 2011 on our way back to the UK. At 2am we were led into an airport loung with one guy stood in the corner. He said"theres some people who want to see you" He opened the door behind us and the whole airport tunnel was lined with what seemed like hundreds of people clapping us and shaking our hands. I have never had an experience like this before and probably wont again.... And at 2 o clock in the morning, on a school night!
The pease greeters do such a fantastic thing and Im sure I speak on behalf of anyone having had the pleasure of these people, when I extend my gratitude and sincere thanks to everyone involved.
PS. The star from the US flag and the woolen hat that I was given sit pride of place in my new home as a civilian.

I was so shocked when I got a cd in the mail today when I got home from work. Inside also was a star from a flag and a note, saying your son asked us to send this to you. I found him in a few pics, and was brought to tears. Now knowing that there was some one who was there when they made it to the States and to see him get on his plane to return to Ft Bragg. I am so Thankful for this. From one very happy and very proud mom. Thank You The Mom of SPC Ryan Auge

My son called us last Friday evening stating how impressed he was with the Pease Greeters at the airport upon his arrival there (on his way to Bagram Air Base). It was a pleasant surprise and he was very touched that so many people would take the time out of their busy lives to come and greet the men and women headed overseas. Thank you so much for everything you do. It does mean a lot!.

I WOULD LIKE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT "MAC" WILL BE AT THE ARRIVAL FOR THE FLIGHT ON SEPT 14TH AND HOPEFULLY HE WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND THE PEASE'S GREETERS PICNIC TOMORROW AFTERNOON, TOO.
IT'S BEEN A ROUGH TIME FOR "MAC" THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS TRYING TO RECUPERATE FROM HIS BAD FALL...I KNOW HOW BADLY YOU ALL HAVE BEEN CONCERNED AND WISHING TO SEE "MAC" BACK AT THE BASE MEETING AND GREETING ALL OUR SOLDIERS RETURNING HOME AND GOING OVER OVERSEAS.....
I JUST HAVE TO REMIND YOU ALL, THAT "MAC" HAS A GREAT DEAL OF TROUBLE TRYING TO SPEAK AND COMMUNICATE NOW AND WALKING IS ALSO IMPAIRED.
I KNOW YOU ALL LOVE AND MISS HIM AND I HOPE YOU WILL UNDERSTAND HIS NEW NEEDS NOW.....
I'M HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY PROUD TO STAND BESIDE HIM THIS PAST YEAR AND I'M EQUALLY AS PROUD TO KNOW ALL OF YOU PEASE GREETERS...THIS EXPERIENCE IN THIS TIME OF MY LIFE, HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING TO KNOW SUCH WONDERFUL PEOPLE.
THANK YOU FOR THE CALLS AND CARDS AND WELL WISHES THAT YOU HAVE SENT TO "MAC".
SEE YOU TOMORROW!!!!!
