I greeted soldiers for the first time last night. Two planes came in for over 600 soldiers in from
Afghanistan landed at Pease Air Force Base in Newington N.H. It was the most awe inspiring thing I have ever done. The soldiers were totally surprised and overwhelmed by us being there for them. To see the appreciation and tears in their eyes was something I will never forget. I plan to do it again.

The soldiers passing through this airport all do us proud in what they do! I'm so happy I get to be a part of one of many things we can do for them by greeting and saluting them! Lots of love to the families and friends of the military. Looking forward to being there again soon!
-I know my grandfather would be with me if he could!

Dear Pease Greeters,
I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for meeting my husband and his group on 4/11/14 as they traveled through on their way to Afghanistan. It was so shocking to him that all those people would be at the airport that late to see them off. PLUS you provided them with treats, drinks and photos! As a nervous wife, I cannot thank you enough for taking time out of your lives to show my husband such compassion and care when I was not able to be there. Thank you just doesn't seem like enough. You are appreciated. God bless.
Lots of Love

Pam, I received your letter and memorials on the Memorial Day weekend. It was such a lovely letter letting me know your group greeted my son's plane on May 1 as he left the country for Germany to serve. In spite of your husbands illness you still took time to write me to let me know how you got up in the late night hours to greet his troop and wish them well. It touches my heart to know there are people like you all out there that will watch out for my son and treat him like family. Your love and dedication is not lost on Robert's family back here in SC. We miss him terribly but have a warm feeling having known your group has sent him on his way with love and warm wishes. God Bless you all! Pam, you and your husband are in our prayers for his swift and complete recovery! God Bless. Love, Betsy Lamontagne

When my wife and I received a call from our daughter SSG Desirae T. Anderson as she was deploying, it warmed our hearts to hear her voice. She told they had stooped at very nice place where all the Soldiers received a warm welcome and exceptional treatment. She also told me pictures would be available if I made contact with the Pease Greeters. I did and JoAnne responded immediately. As a Retired US Army member it's great to know that there are still GREAT Americans who love, respect and treat our military so well. It's because of people like the Pease Greeters, that I, my wife and now our only child guard the wall of FREEDOM. My wife and I are very proud of our association with and we thank you for all you do!

I'm in tears as I compose this. My son, William Brandon Taylor, returned from Afghanistan on April 26th. The first thing he told us, with tears in his eyes, was about the amazing welcome they received in New Hampshire! His grandpa, who passed away last year, was a veteran and was very active in the American Legion. My son said seeing all of the greeters made him think of his grandpa. What a wonderful memory for him. I received my CD with all of the pictures this weekend. What a great surprise! I noticed how tired our soldiers looked when they arrived in New Hampshire and noticed the change in their demeanor and the smiles on their faces when the boarded their flight home ! What a difference you made in their lives! I have no words other than thank you, thank you, thank you! You make a difference!

Dear Pease Greeters,
I cannot tell you how much it meant to my son in law that your were all there on April 26th to welcome him home. He did tell me it was something new for him. I wanted to pass on to what ever veteran there had the flag that was flown in Guadacanal, you really dont know how much that touched him. My father was in world war II and fought on Guadacanal. Mike saw that flag and heard the story and just new my Dad was there to welcome him home. My dad past away 2009, but was a great Marine, and American. Please give my name and address to that veteran, I would love to see if he was their with Maurice J Simon. 112 Drury Lane Slidell, LA 70460. Also, I learned this was the 700 flight you welcomed home. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!
